Math Flashcards ("the app") is a browser-based math facts trainer developed by Carrie on Accessibility. It does not use any backend service at all — everything happens locally, in your own browser.

Summary

Math Flashcards does not collect, transmit, or store any information anywhere except your own device. There's no account, no sign-in, no server, and no leaderboard shared with anyone else.

What Is Stored, and Where

The app uses your browser's localStorage — a small amount of storage built into your browser, tied to your device and browser only — to remember:

• Your display and usage settings: dark mode, text-to-speech on/off, speech speed, language and voice, question advance mode, question font size, and font weight.
• Your practice history: up to your 30 most recent rounds, including the operation, difficulty (or custom fact families), mode, score, accuracy, and time, used to build the Results and Hall of Fame screens.

None of this ever leaves your device. It is never sent to us, to Carrie on Accessibility, or to any third party.

Text-to-Speech

Math Flashcards uses your browser's built-in speech synthesis (the Web Speech API) to read questions, feedback, and controls aloud when text-to-speech is turned on. This runs entirely within your browser using voices already installed on your device or provided by your browser — no audio or text is sent to us as part of this feature.

What We Don't Do

• We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personal information.
• We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising of any kind on this page or within the app.
• We do not sell or share any data, because none is ever collected in the first place.

Your Control Over Your Data

Clearing your browser's site data for this page will remove all saved settings and practice history. There is currently no separate "clear history" control within the app, so browser site-data controls are the way to reset everything.

Children's Privacy

Math Flashcards was designed with young learners in mind and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
