How to Play
- Enter a duelist name (optional — up to 25 characters, defaults to "Hero") and choose "Enter the Arena" to begin.
- Each round, choose one of three moves: Strike (aggressive attack), Parry (defensive counter), or Focus (heals you). Your opponent picks a move at the same time.
- It's a rock-paper-scissors triangle: Strike beats Focus, Parry beats Strike, and Focus beats Parry. Matching the same move as your opponent causes a clash with no damage — except two Focus moves at once, which heal you both.
- Reduce your opponent's health to zero to win the duel and advance to the next, harder level. If your own health reaches zero, the run ends and you can start a new one.
- Watch out — if you repeat the same move five times in a row, or fall into a simple two-move back-and-forth pattern, the opponent catches on and starts countering it.
- Update your duelist name mid-battle at any time from the field below the controls.
Accessibility
- Every control is a real, keyboard-operable element with an explicit accessible label; focus moves automatically after key moments.
- A live region narrates round outcomes, health totals, and status changes to screen readers.
- Optional text-to-speech reads instructions, controls, and combat results aloud, with adjustable speed and voice.
- A separate Audio Cues toggle plays distinct tones for hits, blocks, heals, wins, and losses.
- A high-contrast dark theme, visible focus outlines, and health shown as both a bar and a number support low vision players.
